Mintres collaborates successfully in “DIAMOND MAKES SENSE” Project

We are collaborating successfully with Professor Ivan Buijnsters in his project DIAMOND MAKES SENSE: Fabrication of Novel Micro/Nano-structured Diamond Microelectrodes for Advanced Electrochemical Sensing.

The project-team has recently completed the first half of this four-year research project, which is focussed on a simplified fabrication and functionalisation approach to making diamond micro-electrodes, for use in electrochemical sensors.
Such sensors are powerful tools for the fast detection of biomolecules in fluids, and are becoming of critical importance in clinical analysis and diagnostics as well as other areas.
Within this project, MINTRES provides diamond-processing capabilities and expertise on boron doped diamond as an electrochemical material.
